Gilbert13 is an experimental and progressive product design company. Inspired equally by natures structures and new materials and manufacturing technologies, they use this amalgamation of differences as a source of creativity to produce purposeful and refreshing designs of substance.

Characterful and striking, Hebe is a low level stool to be used indoors or out.Hebe utilises a construction method which mirrors that found in nature with its efficient use of material for maximum reward.  They wanted to achieve the greatest structural capabilities from a material which would normally only be exploited for its soft and cushioning qualities.  By applying a unique series of cuts and folds to a flat sheet of foam they have been able to produce this fluid form using a series of compound curves which provide the product with its fusion of strength, comfort and aesthetics.
