Award winning jewellery designer Emma Farquharson has been selling and exhibiting worldwide since the 1990s.  New York is where she started to develop her distinctive ‘spun’ style, selling her sculptural designs in the Guggenheim Museum, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and in outlets across the country. 

In her new Globe collection Emma playfully explores ideas of the cosmos by suspending moving globes of bright green chrysoprase, amethyst and sky blue chalcedony gems within silver and gold radiating rings to form necklaces and earrings.  The gems turn easily at the touch of a finger.  Emma’s innovative Spun collection continues to evolve, transforming the simple technique of wrapping with silver and gold wire into something sophisticated and subtle, creating stylish bangles, brooches and rings, often enhanced by richly coloured gemstones, pearls and diamonds. 

As well as designing and creating jewellery, Emma also enjoys the challenge of working to specific commissioned design briefs.
